Why Fiber

Not All Internet
Is Created Equal

Fiber-optic cables transmit data as pulses of light — fundamentally faster, more reliable, and more future-proof than copper or cable.

Speed of Light

Fiber transmits data as photons through glass strands, achieving speeds that copper cables physically cannot match — ever.

True Symmetry

Upload as fast as you download. Video calls, cloud backups, and remote work all perform at full speed — not just browsing.

More Secure

Fiber-optic signals don't radiate electromagnetic waves, making them nearly impossible to tap without physically cutting the cable.

No Contention

Your bandwidth is yours. Unlike cable internet, fiber doesn't degrade during peak hours when your neighbors are all online.

Ultra-Low Latency

Sub-5ms latency for gaming, real-time trading, telemedicine, and anything where milliseconds matter.

Future-Proof

The same fiber cable that delivers 1 Gbps today can carry 100 Gbps tomorrow — just upgrade the electronics at each end.

Real Customers,
Real Speeds

Switched from cable and the difference was night and day. My video uploads that used to take 40 minutes now finish in under 3. Working from home has never been this smooth.

Telnet Fiber Pro — 1 Gbps
We run a 30-person office and handle daily cloud backups, video conferencing, and a VoIP system — all without a single hiccup. The static IP and SLA have been rock solid for 18 months.

Telnet Fiber Business — 10 Gbps
I game competitively and had resigned myself to 20ms ping on cable. On Telnet Fiber I'm consistently at 2–3ms. It's genuinely changed how I perform. Worth every rupee.

Talk to Us
What makes fiber faster than cable or DSL?
+
Fiber-optic cables use pulses of light through glass strands instead of electrical signals through copper. Light travels at, well, the speed of light — and glass has far less signal loss over distance. This means fiber maintains full speed over kilometres, while DSL degrades sharply with distance from the exchange, and cable suffers congestion when shared with neighbours.
Is installation free? How long does it take?
+
Yes — installation is completely free on all plans. A certified technician will run the fiber cable to your premises and install the optical network terminal (ONT) and your Wi-Fi 7 router. Most residential installations take 2–4 hours. We'll schedule a time that works for you, and you choose AM or PM slots.
Are there data caps or throttling?
+
Never. All Telnet Fiber plans are genuinely unlimited — no data caps, no fair-use policies, no speed throttling at peak hours. We don't believe in charging you for using the service you're paying for.
What is a symmetric connection and why does it matter?
+
Symmetric means your upload speed equals your download speed. Most cable and ADSL plans advertise 100 Mbps down but only 5–10 Mbps up. With fiber, a 1 Gbps plan gives you 1 Gbps in both directions — critical for video calls, cloud backups, streaming to Twitch/YouTube, and uploading large files.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
+
No contracts required on monthly plans. Pay month-to-month and cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. Annual plans offer a 20% discount and are billed upfront. Either way, there are no exit penalties if you cancel after your minimum period.
What router is included, and can I use my own?
+
All plans include a Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) tri-band router at no extra cost. Pro and above include a mesh node for larger homes. You're welcome to use your own router — simply connect it to the ONT's Ethernet port. Our support team can help you configure it.
